I was so pleased to be asked to write an article for the quarterly Journal of the Spanish Patchwork Association. They publish a beautiful magazine.
I am pleased to pass on the link to a wonderful blog presented by Patricia Belyea who, in addition to her own quilting and teaching, has been visiting artists who work in the quilt genre. She visited me in the middle of April and since then has made a trip to Los Angeles and posted very interesting reports. I am sure that you will enjoy her visit with me as well as her other articles.
To read mine, got to https://okanarts.com/marianne-burr/
You can access the whole blog from there or just go to Okan Arts to see everything Patricia has to offer!
The LaConner Quilt and Textile Museum is pleased to have the current and upcoming shows featured in Quilters Newsletter. I am very happy to see my quilt featured and am really looking forward to seeing the amazing quilts from Japan in the Show that opens July 2.
I am currently spending my Saturdays at the LaConner Quilt and Textile Museum with my Solo Exhibit on the third floor. The show runs thru June 29 so there are many more Saturdays to see me as well as my work!
The LaConner Quilt Museum has been getting a lot of press lately and I am honored to be showing my work there. USA Today has listed it among the 10 best places to see quilts in the Country:
The Honolulu Star Advertiser’s travel editor puts the Quilt Museum at the top of her “must do” list because “this is really two museums in one. It’s housed in the Mansion, a turreted, three-story Victorian beauty built in 1891 by one of the town’s early merchants.”
