Quilt Nihon 2016

I had a wonderful time in Tokyo for the opening of the 13th Quilt Nihon at the Metropolitan Art Museum in Ueno Park.  That first weekend in April was the absolute height of the cherry blossom or sakura bloom, and it was a magnificent sight all over the city. My quilt, Cosmic Connection received the Bronze Award and I was honored along with the other award winning artists at a lovely ceremony and buffet on April 1, the opening date of the exhibition.DSC01610 blog 1.pagesblog2.pages
